11/09/09 - Secret free gig this Sunday 13 September 8pm to 9pm on Wirksworth Market Place as part
of the Wirksworth Festival's 'gig on the roof'. The fundraiser for the Wirksworth Music Centre is now
to be in the Town Hall on 10 October - tickets available now from the Traidlinks shop on Wirksworth
Market Place priced £8/£4.
22/02/10 - the next gig is a fundraiser for Sport Relief at The Academy Bar, Derby University on Kedleston Road on Saturday 20 March 2010
from 8pm til midnight. Tickets are £5 in advance from
here, from Angie Hall on 07739-913877 or you can pay £6 on the door
(subject to availability).
24/01/10 - the next two gigs are public affairs. The first is a fundraiser for the local footie team, the Wirksworth Colts on
Saturday 20 February at Wirkswoth Town Hall. Tickets are £8 and are available from the TraidLinks shop on Wirksworth Market Place.
The next one is at the Academy Bar at Derby University on Kedleston Road. Tickets are £5 and are available from Angie Hall on either

01/12/09 - the Christmas gig on 19/12 is now completely SOLD OUT - sorry
15/11/09 - The reassuringly annual Christmas gig is on Saturday 19 December at the Town Hall in Wirksworth starting at 8pm.

19/07/09 - Summer off for good behaviour as usual. Autumn/winter gigs so far are a fundraiser for Wirksworth Music Centre
to be held at the Anthony Gell School in Wirksworth on 10 October - more details to follow later.
Then a Christmas spectacularish on the Saturday before Christmas - details to follow later too.
01/07/09 - MUSIC ON THE MEADOWS on Saturday 11 July will be bigger and better than ever before !
Tickets are now available priced £10 for adults and £8 for under 18s from
David Bray Opticians and Mazzi Indian Restaurant, both in Matlock.

18/01/09 - The Valentines Night gig is on 14 February (!) at the
Community Centre in Cromford

in Wirksworth and from the venue. Yes - we will play some slow ones !
05/01/09 - Happy New Year - the next gig will be a St.Valentines Night special at
Cromford Community Centre on ... well ... 14 February 2009 ! More details to follow but be warned,
we may even play some slow ones.
14/11/08 - IT'S A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS GIG takes place on Friday 19 December in Wirksworth Town Hall from 8pm to
the midnight hour. Support will be from local band 'Red Flashing Lights' on at 8.30pm. Tickets are now available from
the Blacks Head pub

22/10/08 - The Highfields Gig is on 4 October 2008. Starkholmes lower school site - doors open 7pm. Tickets available
from Peli-Deli in Crown Square Matlock and from school offices at both sites.
12/10/08 - contrary to recent speculation, the gig on 4 October at Highfields School (Bowler Hall, Starkholmes) in
Matlock is ON - watch this space for further details soon.

21/04/08 - the public summer gigs this year are the Wheaton Aston Festival in May and Music on the Meadows in
Cromford in July.
20/04/08 - thanks to all that attended the mayor's bash - the gig raised over £1,800 for his charity.
16/03/08 - the next public gig is the Mayor's charity fundraiser at Wirksworth Town Hall on Saturday 19 April.
Tickets will be available after 19 March from the post office on Wirksworth Market Place and from Andy Pollock on 01629-823752.
All funds are going towards paying for new theatrical equipment for local drama groups based at the Anthony Gell School.

03/10/07 - the band are off to the south of France on 18 October for a few days to play a gig at the "world
twinning event" in Die. Bands from the UK, Germany, France, Senegal, Italy and Hungary will all be performing. Next public
gig here likely to be at Christmas - watch for confirmation of date and venue.
02/10/07 - thanks to everybody who came along to the gig on 29/09 at Wirksworth Town Hall. It was a great night
- just sorry we had to turn so many away at the door but it was completely sold out. Thanks also to the Blacks Head public house
who sold most of the tickets for us.

01/01/07 - Well this is the new THE WAM BAM BAND website as LYCOS lost the old one ! ! ! ! ! It has taken a while
to get it together and whilst all of our written history had been lost, Jon Peace has stepped into the breach (?) and
come up with the goods - so to speak. It had previously served us right for having a name that started with "T" !
